Home Book: Project Suspended
Several months ago Family Chronicle put out a call to our readers for submissions of transcribed letters from immigrant ancestors describing their experiences crossing the Atlantic or migrating across North America, finding their first jobs in their new homes, moving into a new house and making a new life etc. The idea was that we would collect enough good stories and publish these into book form.
Unfortunately, the number of submissions has been extremely low to date and, as a result, we do not have nearly enough to commence work on the book. In an effort to help increase the interest in the project, we have published some of the submissions as "mini collections" in some recent issues of Family Chronicle. Still we have not seen a noticeable increase in submissions so we must suspend any further work on the book. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we will re-evaluate the viability of the project on an on-going basis.
